How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve been working as a photographer for over 12 years. After 7 years of working in live production, I decided to move into portraits and weddings after getting married and not being able to find the type of photographer I wanted. So I decided to change things up!

………………………………………………………………………….

What style of photography do you offer?

My main aim is to provide you with a story of the day, and therefore my style is very much documentary. However, I do appreciate that couples have a need for the traditional portraits so I will happily plan and coordinate these into the day. I wouldn’t recommend any more than 10-12 groups, this shouldn’t take more than 20-25 minutes.

………………………………………………………………………….

How many photographs will you take/provide us with?

There is no limit to the number of photographs taken, I will work all day taking as many images as I can, but in terms of what I provide as the final result, it can vary greatly depending on the length of the day, the size of the wedding, the location or the weather. You should expect a minimum of 500 fully edited images for a full day’s coverage.

………………………………………………………………………….

How long after the wedding do we see the images?

Usually, all of your images are ready to be dispatched 4 weeks after your wedding day. When they are ready I will send you an email with your link to your photos and slideshow! Plus a gorgeous bespoke box in the post or in person if we can meet up.

………………………………………………………………………….

Are you insured?

As a full time, professional photographer I am fully insured for both public and professional liability.

………………………………………………………………………….

Do you work with a second photographer?

I prefer to work with a second photographer, but I have photographed many weddings on my own. They are very useful to me on the day of the wedding both assisting with setting up group photos as well as photographing different angles at the key moments.

………………………………………………………………………….

Who owns the copyright of the images?

The copyright of the images always remains with the photographer, but I license my couples the right for you to produce the images in any way you wish. The only thing you cannot do with the images is use them for commercial re-sale or re-edit them.

………………………………………………………………………….

How far do you travel?

There’s no limit. I travel all over the UK and internationally for destination weddings. If you’re more than 2 hours drive away, I will generally travel to the location the night before, that way, I’m with you in good time and raring to go! This cost will be added to the final bill. International weddings will be more of a bespoke quote.

………………………………………………………………………….

Do you do engagement shoots?

I included an engagement shoot with every booking. They are a great excuse for us to hang out and get to know each better but more importantly, it gives you a chance to get used to being a couple in front of my camera as most people find this particularly awkward. It also means that we can get the most natural photos possible on the wedding day.

………………………………………………………………………….

What cameras and kit do you use? Do you have backups?

I use two professional Canon digital cameras with a collection of high performance lenses. I also have an additional back-up camera along with several high quality memory cards.

………………………………………………………………………….

Do you re-touch or enhance the images?

On average I spend 2-3 days editing a wedding. I always check the balance for lighting, colour and contrast and will re-touch any images where appropriate, making sure I can get the best out of the photos. There is no extra charge for this.

………………………………………………………………………….

How do we book you?

Simples, in order to secure your wedding date you will need to pay a booking fee of £500 by BACS. Once this is received, any other enquiries for the same date are turned away.
